How does RSS work?

RSS works by having the website author maintain a list of subscribers on their webpage in a define manner, basically simple text files that, once submitted to feed directories, will allow subscribers list to see content within a very short time after it's updated . This list of subscribers is called an "RSS Feed". Special computer programs called "RSS aggregators" have been developed that automatically access the RSS feeds of websites you care about on your behalf and organize the results for you.
